Flashback 2012 : Aaron Sorkin Hangs With Harvey Weinstein and Obama At Weinstein's Connecticut Estate to Tout Womens Rights

The Hartford Courant reports:
It was a different time.

Famed Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was at the top of his game in August 2012 when he welcomed some of the most famous people in America to his lavish waterfront home in Westport.

The stars came out for a big-dollar fundraiser that featured then-President Barack Obama speaking to a group of about 50 supporters who paid nearly $36,000 per person to attend. The event took place during Obama’s reelection battle against Republican Mitt Romney.

Weinstein’s comments that night about “protecting women’s rights’’ provide a sharp contrast to the widespread allegations of sexual harassment that have been levied against him in recent days by multiple actresses.
The virtue of the Democrat party.
